Thijs van der Haak
Thijs founded AMZ Consultancy with Sjors in 2017. They still know each other from before Google, where Thijs was Head of New Business Sales in Asia. After more than ten years with the search giant, they decided to shift their field of activity to Amazon. With the establishment of AMZ Consultancy, one of the first Dutch agencies was created to specialize exclusively in marketplaces.

After more than 11 years of setting up outsourced sales operations for Google in locations across Europe, it was time to take on a new challenge. With the advertising knowledge, the experience in setting up sales organizations and the arrival of Amazon in the Netherlands, this was the perfect moment to set up a marketplaces agency. The initial focus was Amazon, but this was soon expanded to Bol.com and other marketplaces in Europe.
